Default Slight performance upgrade questions.

I have a 2000 vert. Stock LS1/A4. I am putting on a bassani X-pipe and exhaust, installing 3.42 gears. I am thinking of putting in a Z06 cam/spring/rods. What kind of performance gain should I expect from the cam change? Is it worth replacing with a Z06 one or should I get something else? I am not really wanting to make it super fast or anything just a little quicker, with all the 400hp stock cars that are and will be coming out.

If you are going to spend the money on a cam swap, I would get something more aggressive. I also didn't see headers and torque converter on that list.

don't waist ur cash on a tiny zo6 cam. there are plenty of cams that are just as quite as the z06 cam and will net u more HP

You should be expecting anywhere from 25-60 horsepower, and pretty decent gas mileage. Gear ratio is perfect for driving, and still powerful for draggin Like chaase said, no headers on that list

I agree w/ Frizzle and Chase - don't waste money changing to a Z06 cam - not enough improvement to justify the work involved -

Thanks for the info. I cant really recall all the cam info..ie lift/ duration..ect So if yall have any suggestions on a cam that would do better, without going crazy, I would really appreciate it. I will consider getting some heards soon as well. I just didnt want it to be to much louder, it is a little loud with the vert already.
