No problem at all. Always happy to help out.

I think you might have posted in the wrong section of the forum. This is C5 parts for sale/wanted section. I think you might have been looking for C5 tech.

Sucks for you. My heads made great power. Did you have it installed there too? Maybe it was your installer.

I think you need to elaborate more. Our heads have been proven performers.

This is so true. I have the old style stage II heads/cam package on my 98 and it runs like a Mo Fo! Fo Sho!

I have tried and tried to destroy the LS-1 they did, raised the rev limiter, stand on it between curves, spinning the motor at fast revs and taking home the trophies every weekend for three years.

Oh, and I drive the car to work and back daily.

Cartek FTW .

Matt, you have issues. I've never heard of some one trying to blow it up.

It's a long story but they did not make one horse power as far as I can tell. But anyway I yanked them a while back sold them as stock heads and put some AFR on with no retune and the same set up made 42 more rwhp with out a tune. So yeah it must of been that installer guy or the tune guy or the stars and moon where not right for the dynos. Who knows what happened but I know the heads work good in NJ must be the zip code. Anyway I am sure that I got a bad set and what is done is done I am sure they do great work and wish them them the best. But I am done with them

There is a lot that can go wrong on the install and have results very similar to yours. We have plenty and I mean plenty of people out side of this area making great power with our heads.

If you were having a problem we would have been happy to look at the car for you. Something like this isn't something that really can be diagnosed over the phone. I know the trip is far, but you did say that the car was running. I'm sure if you had brought it to us we would have found the problem and fixed it for you.

Heads are checked before they leave for quality and performance.

Heads and cam install is not a 1-2-3 thing when it comes to checking everything out and making sure that it's ready for delivery. Something was probably missed by your installer.

I'm sorry you had a problem, but you should have given us a shot at looking at it first before going off and selling them. A trip to us would have been way cheaper then a new set of AFRs.

once again sorry for your inconvenience,
Max

Just some added info:

That cam alone on your car (no heads) will make ~420rwhp roughly. Forget about the heads.

Some scenarios:
Did you check Piston to Valve, we mill the heads(we also don't know what gasket thickness was used) and with that type of duration on a cam it most definitely would need to be checked. The valves on a AFR are in different locations and may not have the same PTV issues that you would experience with a stock type head.

You could also have had a bad plug or a disconnected injector. An LSx motor will idle fine and run through a dyno run perfectly fine down one whole cylinder.

It could be anything quite honestly.

But the fact that you dyno'd 410 rwhp, you were down 10rwhp from what a cam only car would have made. No port work, no matter how bad it is would net you negative power like that. Not the heads is the point, unless they where damaged during the install.
