How long have you had your 925? Did you have to drill to make the side mount bracket work? Is your ride a DD? Mine will sit for 3 to 5 weeks at a time from Dec to Feb. and im concerned the battery will not have enough reserve. I dont use a trickle charger right now but I dont have a problem starting her with the GM battery. Thanks for the pics, the 925 looks pretty good! Slap a c5 emblem on the bracket and your good to go!

I've only had the battery about a month and it's only sat for about a week at a time. The Z is not my DD, it's a track car/sunnyday moral builder/etc. Drilling - yes, I drilled 4 ea 3/8" holes in the battery tray and fixed captured nuts with flanges with stainless pop rivets (the same process used on the factory hold down captured nut) Nothing very difficult and I can go back to stock in minutes. I left you a tongue in cheek response on the "battery weight" thread.

Gorillavet, how long have you had yours? You have the 680 model right? What is the longest you let your ride sit without starting?
Thanks for the info guys. I will make my decision soon. My old one is GM (not original) but is almost 5 year old and the little "green eye" is black. I don’t know if that means anything but I don’t want to risk the dreaded acid leak either.
I couldn't have said it better myself! I've had my Odyssey Model 680 for about 2 years and NO problems. The only reason I went with Odyssey was to get a battery that wouldn't leak (evidently some C5's OEM batteries leaked) The fact that it's much lighter and smaller is icing on the cake. It is not my Daily Driver, and I've let it sit for just over 2 weeks with no ill effects. If you should have any technical questions on the product, I recommend speaking with Bruce Essig from Odyssey at (660) 429-7506. Super friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE!

This is really neat. My battery is OK now, but being several years old, I have already wondered what to put in next. Optimas seem too iffy, getting both good and bad reviews here. I'm definitely going to consider this for the next go round.
a friend of mine uses an even smaller battery for his M3, and it has left him stranded twice in about as many years. It was a very small battery though. Cold weather starting may be a slight issue in some circumstances.
