Exhaust tips on a 2001 coupe
Hello,
Are there any circular (As opposed to oval) exhaust tips that are available for a 2001 stock exhaust. I am looking for tips that look just like the stock Z06 exhaust. All the tips I see are for 97-00 cars. Can I even easilly replace the tips on my 01?

I think you'd have to get a welder or someone to remove the existing tips. Then you might be able to use the 3rd party tips.

They are tack welded on. You will have to cut them off, pretty complicated unless you have some tremendous kickass tips you want to use. You can always buy a used exhaust with nice tips.

Any muffler shop should be able to remove your stock tips and install tips designed for 97-00 C5s. Tack welds are not a big deal to remove. Just make sure they take steps to procect the car from damage. Have then remove the mufflers first if you are concerned.

Given what it takes to replace them, I will probably keep the stock tips unless I run into a Z06 exhaust forsale cheap.

Yes, GM did the easy thing...they grabbed the tips from the Cadillac STS, Eldorado bin and tacked them on. Theyre not bad...but they would look really nice if they were about 2-3 inches longer... as it is they are well hidden underneath.
