Does anyone have this combination? What do you think of the change over stock? I'm aware of the favorable response of Indy owners. But I think the Touring might be a better compromise for my situation.
I rode and listen to both touring and indy (with and without X-pipe) and my personal opion was the the touring was quieter then stock. I know, all don't agree but that what I heard with my own ears. The indy's with X-pipe are sweet. Quiet with normal everyday driving but roar at WOT. X-pipe reduces some of the popping but not all especially if you have a modified intake system (runs leaner which increases popping).
I have this setup and here are my impressions. At first I installed the Touring by itself and the car idled quietly... but if you step on the gas the car sounded like it had 1000HP!! It crackled, popped, and was very raspy. I didnt feel that was a good representation of my stock C5. Then a few months later I added the Bassani Xpipe. The tone of the exhaust was much more refined... smoother with less popping and the rasp went away. A while back I added headers... Now all the above has returned and much more.
