Everytime I hit my brakes or put the car in reverse, or use a turn signal, my dash, and the window switches, and the AC will blink rapidly. If I pull the fuse for the DRLs (approach lights) the blinking dash problem goes away, but my turn signals still don't work. Both of the green arrows are lit up and blink rapidly. I used to have the same problem but it would appear for a day and go away. Sometimes it would go away after a car wash, I'm thinking it might be something with a bad ground, any other ideas that I could check?
Where are the grounds and how would i go about inspecting and cleaning them?
I had nearly the exact same problem just last week.
I found after much searching the front frame ground point on the passenger side had a small eyelet that had some corrosion on it. It contains two small black wires grouped into one eyelet. The corrosion was down inside factory crimped area and difficult to spot. I partially cleaned it up without pulling the factory crimp apart and the problem went away. I plan to remove the factory eyelet and clean it up completely in the very near future.
Check that point. As I believe all the dash lights are grounded at that spot.
