FOB programing 1997
I recently bought a FOB on ebay it has the passive switch, when I go through my DIC and get to the point where you press the lck&unlck for 15 seconds or until it says FOB learned, the FOB learned never comes up, this is my second FOB from ebay and the FOB has a new battery, any suggestions on what could be wrong.

Does your fob have FCCID AB00216T on the reverse side. If not it won't work. If it really is for your C5 then either the fob is defective or the reciever isn't working. The same receiver is used to receive signals from your tire pressure monitoring system.. If that works ok I would suspect the fobs. Got 3 from fleebay. 2 were fine one had a completely DEAD battery. The seller refunded $5 for the battery so I was good to go. I would see if you can't find another 97-00 owner near you and try to program his or her good fob to your car. Then you will know whether it is the fob or the receiver.
