I lowered my car an inch after getting my chrome Zo6 wheels
and Pilot sports. Do I need to get an alignment. Someone
also send I could get aligned to zo6 specs?
Let me know thanks Jim :yesnod: :smash:
Re: Do I need a alignment after lowering (Jimmy O)
contrary to what everyone else is saying, i definitely felt a difference in handling after i aligned. i waited for about a month after i lowered it to allow settling. but after i got the alignment, it was a different car. for $59.95, you cant go wrong. when you lower, you're adding negative camber.
I agree with Jetskifast. I did alignment before adjusting stock bolts with Z51. Only 5/8" drop in front and 1" drop in rear. Within specs, a bit more negative camber but that gives you better handing. Car floats less and rides a bit harder. Would not want to go lower. Wheel well gaps are balanced, just right. Recommend basic lowering for anyone with Z51, easy job.
Re: Do I need a alignment after lowering (VettesRule)
$59.95 is what I paid for a 4 wheel alignment that I think it needed when I adjusted all the way to the limits of the stock adjusters. That's not even the cost of an oil change at a dealer, is it?
BTW: while we are waiting for a response on the before / after measurements, I'll give you mine.
