Default C5 Z51 question

Does the C5 Z51 option give bigger brakes? In fact what does it include, all in all??

Z51 packarge includes: stiffer springs and shocks, larger sway bars front and back, 3.15:1 rear axle ratio in A4, power steering cooler. I think that is all. If im missing anything please chime in.

That's all I got on mine (not an A4.) The brakes are a C6 deal.

Along with the C6 crowd wanting to make the Z51 it's own model and the crazy insanity of having to have a badge which says the Z51 option. Plus mentioning in every post the they a have a C6 Z51.

Hell if that is the case i am going to get a Z49 option badge.

That's correct. The C5 brakes are the same for Z51 and even the Z06. On the C6, the Z51 gets larger, crossdrilled rotors. Same calipers.

That's right. All FRCs had the 3.42 gear. (As well as the Z51 "option")

The FE3 is part of the Z51 and is on all Z51 cars you could not order FE3 without z51 at least on 97, 98 and 99 models not sure of 2000 on. The gearing is code gu6 and is not required with the z51.

THIS ALL STEMS FROM THE Z19 AND I QUOTE: "GYMKHANA/AUTOCROSS PKG. HARD TOP INCLUDES: MN6 AND Z51 COMBINED WITH XGG AND YCH WHEELS AND GU6 AXLE."
MAYBE THE FRCS SHOULD OF BEEN CALLED Z19s AND THERE WERE ONLY 6000 MADE TOTAL FROM '99-'00. ON DOWN THE ROAD THESE ARE GOING TO BE SPECIAL CARS. THEY ARE NOW, ITS JUST THEY HAVE NOT REACHED THEIR FULL POTENTIAL BUT TIME IS ON OUR SIDE.
KEEP 'EM NICE AND IT'LL PAY OFF.

Are you worthy of having a Z49 option badge or a poser
From 2001 to now there has been between 900 -1300 vettes per year with the Z49 option
