Hypertech tuning for 98

Hypertech tuning for 98

Does anyone know why the currently advertised Hypertech begins with '99 and excludes '98? I have a totally stock 98 M6. Would a Hypertech tune do me much good?

A Hypertech tune wont help you out much except for line pressures in the trans if you have a A4. Calibrating a rear gear change so your speedo is right etc. A dyno tune would be more accurate.

Don't waste your money on that. Get a dyno tune or EFI LIVE ( and someone who knows how to tune)

I have a Hypertech tuner for my 98. It worked OK. I used it to adjust fans ETC and the car runs better. If you are planning on heavy mods not worth it. If no heavy mods it would be worth it.

also

it only works for two gear combinations also. so people doing different rear ends should go somewhere else.

The computers for the 97 & 98 are different than later model Vettes
