When I turn on my headlights for the first time that day only the left one goes up. There isn't any noise from the right side motor, it just doesn't go up. If I turn them off and back on they both go up, but the right one just a bit slower than the left. If I turn them off and on again they're perfect. After that they work fine for the rest of the night unless the car stays parked for a long while, then sometimes it does it again, but not always. Also, it seems to be worse in colder weather. Any thoughts on why? I checked the connections, but I'm stumped. Bad motor maybe?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Justin

Thats pretty typcial of all pop up head lights. I've owned five pop up head light motor cars now. They just do that in cold weather. I live in iowa so it gets in the single digits all the time. My 02 Z06 with low miles even does that every once and awhile. I wouldn't worry about it at all until it starts making grinding noises. Then it's time to replace the crappy plastic stock gear.

I guess I'll just leave it alone. The problem isn't just apparent in cold weather though, it's just worse in cold weather. It's been in the 80's this week and it still does it. Thanks for the reply.

mine does this too, but only After i replaced the stock nylon gears (wasn't having issues, just had $$ and was thinking ahead) with the bfranker brass gears. i just get out, loosen the **** on my driver's side headlight, and turn the switch again.
