Default axel nut tourque setting?

what is the ft. lbs. suppose to be for the axel nut,,, ?????????

2000 manual for rear drive shaft spindle nut = 118 lbft

Got that one memorized from when I kept working on mine to get rid of the popping noise.
I would not over-torque the nut. It may have the specified torque to correctly load the hub bearing. Tighter may not be better.

thanks guys.. just bought me a tourque wrench... man what a disasembly!!!! i would rather pull teeth,,, and what ever engineer desinged the three torqex bolts that mount into the back of the hub should be drug out into the street on a stormy night and shot... Im breaking a sweat in my drive way!! and i have busted every knuckle i got,,, so im looking at the hub bearing and spinning it and it does not seem to be bent and it spins fairly easily,, not sure if it is bad,, and the knuckle has a bend to it but im not sure if its suppose to be like that...???

longview huh,, i use to live in tyler for a while and was born and raised in Texarkana,,, you getting any of the 75degree weather?
