Has anyone had any experience with the Continental Tire Conticomfortkit sold by TireRack? Does the sealant cause any damage to the C5 TPS units?
Thanks for the info.
Larry
I've heard rumors about sealants causing problems with the Corvette TPS units but haven't seen anything factual. My 2003 M5 has a TPS system (non runflats) and came OE with a combination air pump/tire sealer unit. The instructions don't mention any possible damage to the TPS from using it. Maybe it's a different type of sensor?
I've heard that the type of sealant makes the difference. If the sealant is silicone based there are less problems. Haven't tried it yet but just bought a set of Hankook Ventus V12 tires and I am going to need something.

I'm not sure if it will harm sensors, but I was told by a local tire shop that the sealant will make the tire unable to be balanced thus unrepairable. They recommended a plug kit. Not sure if this is true or not but sounds possible.
C5 TPMS have a very small "air hole" in them. Most tire sealants will not flow through them, they will clog them. If you can't get the sealant into your tires, it will not work.
Used some in my 2000 Coupe with non-runflats in a bind at the track. Got home okay but ruined the Tire pressure sensor. The sealant sealed the hole completely.
Don't do it unless you are willing to buy a new sensor ! By the way the sealant had no problem flowing into the tire !
