problem with shock install

problem with shock install
so I have the project going, praying for no rain today, and ran into this problem.... I am replacing all my stock shocks with 2004 Z06 shocks and also replacing the shock tower bushings... I got these from Vette brakes and products:

and they look great but they don't slide down onto the top of the rear shocks... they definately fit well on the front ones but just not the rear.
Am I doinng something wrong? Just replacing the old ones with the new ones... any help here guys would be great!

They should be just fine, they look like the stock bushings.
I put the female bushing on the bottom.
OK,OK Enough!
the order is:
The shock
then the cupped washer slides over the piston, bowl side up
then the female bushing over the piston, bowl side down
then the mounting plate
then the male bushing, part of which goes through the mounting plate
then the last cupped washer, bowl side down
then the piston nut, tighten to really squish the bushings in there
