Default exhaust question

Has anyone had any luck with running long tube headers and an x-pipe into the stock exhaust? I am going with the TSP headers and x-pipe and I have heard that the stock cat-back system flows very well for stock. Even though I wont have any cats with the x-pipe. Thanks!

I was also wondering how loud they would be. And if there is any raspy sound because of the catback exhaust.

I have long tubes/no cats without an X pipe. I was running stock mufflers and my dyno numbers were a little lowerer than I had hoped. The stock mufflers might have actually held me back 10-15 HP. It was very quiet with no rasp. It sounded pretty good at wide open throttle. This weekend I did the A & A modification. I like the sound there is still zero drone at hwy speeds. At cruise I cant ell any nosie difference after the A & A. Its pretty loud when you start giving it gas now. It seems to run better. I'll be redynoing at the end of the month. I'll know then if I have gained any power. I may eventually put in cutouts. Im satuisfied with what I have done for now.
