My experience has shown little if any HP gains and only a moderate reduction in the burble/popping on deceleration. Mn6 and Corsa Cat backs and X pipe.

Do the coups havethe sam exaust "Configuration" as the z's...cuz my Z has a OEM "H-Pipe" already..
The diff as explained to me is that the H-pipe will give you "Better" top end performance while teh X-pipe will garner better low end torque..at teh expence of top end.
And generally speaking x-pipes jsound better than h-pipes...
Yes, both Z06 & std Vette have same H-pipe configuration.
However, the hole in the H-pipe is very small (quarter-size) and
so it does little for balancing the pulses, or smoothing the popping.
An X-pipe in the same location can be a bit more effective.
The X-pipes discussed here are way back in the system, behind the cats, so they don't have much effect in moving the torque band of the engine. An X or H up closer, just behind the headers can have much more effect.
Any exhaust work behind the stock cats is more for sound than anything else, most have reported no more than about 5-10 HP with any of the systems aft of the cats.

This I didnt know I always asumed it wasnt location sensitive..just system sensitive....so then by getting ride o fteh H-pipe you could also free up the exaust system by removing that small whole and replacing it
I have an M6 2000 with Corsa exhaust. When I first got it I noticed right away the gurgeling and poping sound of the exhaust. It had the standard H-Pipe, so after reading lots of posts, about the X-Pipe, I bought one, and just had installed. The diiference in sound is much better..it is a little quieter, but almost all gurgle and popping is gone...sounds much better....I don't think there is any HP gain.

Same here. I have Borla Stingers and I put the x-pipe in to reduce gurgle and pop. Worked like a charm. Car sounds much better with the x.

Everything is subjective
That's actually backwards, the H-pipe generally gives better low end while sacrificing some high end, the X pipes are the other way around. Still, the difference probably isn't THAT noticeable for a street vehicle.
H-pipes will make a deeper sound, but will pop/gurgle more on decel. I have an SLP H-Pipe on mine only because the previous owner put it there. It is very deep, very gurgly with B&B Bullets.
Either H-pipe or X-pipe performs better the closer it is to the collector/headers
