Default Fuel Hood release doesn't work

My release in the console to open the fuel hood doesn't release and I have to use the emergency release in the back. Do you think it is the switch or is their a fuse somewhere? HELP

there is a fuse, but I don't have the number here at work. Also, if the console has been out recently, it is easy to forget to plug the switch back in. Those are the first two things I would look at first.

Thanks headhunter, I looked at a manuel online and it states it is fuse number 32. Where is the fuse box inside the car. It states it is on the passengers side?

It is on the passenger side.

Take up the passenger side floor mat, against the firwall you will see two black latches. Unlatch them and you will have access to the fuse block

More than likely the plug came loose from the switch, you'll have to lift the center console up to get at the plug.

This is easy to get out if you need to go there. Open up the console door, pull up on the traction control switch. There are 4 10 mm nuts/bolts and out it comes. The two back nuts are under the little plastic covers at the back of the console.
