Default Bbk Throttle Body Help

I am installing a BBK throttle body on an 01 Z06. In the box was an adapter plate about 3/4 inch thick. It doesn't appear I need this but hey, what do I know. Am I to use this between the intake and throttle body even though the width of my original tb and the BBK are the same? Thanks

It's not really an adapter plate, if you look closely you'll see that it's mini venturi tube of sorts. It necks the 80mm TB down to 78mm to meet the opening in the intake manifold. Make sure that you put the larger side toward the new TB. I also had to use the BBK supplied spacers to move the power steering pump bracket out from the block about 1/2".
