Default B-K Harness bar owners

I just picked up a used B-K harness bar for my 04-Z06, but when it arrived I noticed it doesn't have support rods as shown on the B-K site? I want to know if these are optional or missing? Anyone have the bar installed without these supports to the seat attachment point on the floor?

Thanks

I bought mine used also, but they it came with the down support struts. See if you can get them, more support can't be a bad thing.

My Sparco bar does not mount firmly without the struts. How will you keep the BK bar from rotating? If you are using the stock seatbelt pivot bolts torqued to specs (35 ft lbs, IIRC) you have to use a spacer so the bar does not crush the plastic trim. If you do that then the unit can rotate slightly.

Not ideal for a harness I am sure. You could probably fabricate a set? See if BK would sell them separately.

Good luck,
Cassidy

you can get away without 1, but I wouldn't trust it with both missing.

These are the responses that I expected. I knew that the supports were there for a reason. BK wouldn't included them if they didn't feel they were important.

First thing is to contact the seller about why they aren't included. I've also already contacted BK by email to get their feedback.
