Fits perfect but don't do it for sound on a stock C5. You'll probably be disappointed. Doesn't sound different enough to justify the cost. Great mod for a modded C5 but I'm biased .
Thanks, It would be my first mod. Because 2000's don't even have chrome tips. so i thought 1) looks better 2) have to start somewhere 3) thought it may sound better up in the RPM band. Well two out of three ain't bad...........joe
You will get some noise. It's just not as much as some would hope for. There are at least three other reasons to get it, though.
1) It's several pounds lighter than stock.
2) It will never corrode, and will probably out-last the car.
2) You can always re-sell it for what you have into it if you want something louder. They've been hovering around the same price level for at least two years now ($400+-).
I really enjoy my Ti’s. My set up is a set of JBA shorty’s with a 02-04 Z06 H-pipe minus the cats. I do this so when it’s time to smog all I have to do is reinstall the stock 4 cat H-pipe, tweak the tune, and I’m ready to test. Anyway before the Ti’s I had a set of B&B Bullets. Way too loud for me, drone was awful. The Ti’s never drone and flat out roar when you go WOT. Idle sounds good too. To each his own but I don’t think you will regret picking up a set of Ti’s as long as your sticking with your plan to go Long Tubes – no cats. Good luck and have fun with your mods.....
I just picked up a set of TI's for my 2000 MN6, plus I'm adding Dynatech LT's, hi-flow cats / x-pipe...from what I've been reading I think I'll be pleased with the new sound and performance
They're all over the c5 parts forum; used off C5Z's.
re: the OP... I have a set w/ LG streets & no cats (have both cats & offroad pipes)
I think they sound great and there is NO drone. Mine definietly isn't quiet.. well, it's quiet until I step on the gas, then it gets loud and raspy. Dunno how the engineers did it, but it's like opening a mini-cutout.
