Default Q: Wheel Bearings

Took my stockers off last year after about 80K miles. Put some GM Racing bearings on as upgrades.

Are the stockers worth anything? They still seemed good; I just wanted to change them out. Maybe they're of value to someone.

Thanks in advance for the inputs!

Really wouldn't be worth it with that high milage. They might make good paper weights.

Where did you get GM racing bearings and how much did they cost?

Through an acquaintance who competes in SCCA sanctioned races. Seem to remember that they cost me less than a brand-new set of stock C5 replacement bearings.

I've been contemplating the need to change mine for some time now but I thought they were part of the wheel hubs and "might" have to be changed as as a whole assembly. Can someone tell me if the bearing itself can be pressed out or changed in whatever way? Part numbers for the bearing itself and not the hub? I'm on the original bearings at 288K miles and they sound fine, but nothing lasts forever.

Default Nope, whole Hub assembly required

Comes as a unit. Made by Timkin sold through Advanced Auto for around $200.00. Dealer sells the same for $400.00 or more. GMParts Direct, Gene Culley are probably somewhere in between. Changed one last summer in the front. 1 - 2 hour DIYer with a ball joint tool kit you can rent at your local Auto store. Not hard, doesn't affect alignment.
