advice needed on header install - leaks!
I'm trying to fix the infamous exhaust leaks on LG Streets. I purchased the Torctite band clamps per recommendation on The Forum, but the problem I run into is the 3" seems a bit too big for the header-cat connection. After tightening I can pull the cat out by hand! The OD of the cat is 3", so the band clamp I guess is a bit big. Before I go back to Summit to exchange, I assume being able to pull the cat out by hand after tightening is not a good thing -- can't imagine it will seal this way?!?

Yeah, I was told they had 3" collectors when I bought them, but nothing 3" fits. I wrapped some metal tape around the headers before I installed my 3" cats, so they seal fairly well now. Eventually, I'm going to see if 2.75" stuff fits on the header.
