P0343 CMP Sensor Circuit High Voltage
So it could be;
- Foreign material passing between the sensor and the reluctor ring
- Wiring routed too close to secondary ignition components
- Poor connections
- Camshaft reluctor wheel damage
- The sensor coming in contact with the reluctor wheel
- Cam bolts coming loose
Any inputs on good trouble shooting, short of tearing the engine apart to check the cam bolts.
Where is the sensor located, pics would be great.
I have a HP Tuner, is there any way to check the sensor/ troubleshoot with it? I see that there is a PID for Engine diagnostics; cam sensor high to low and cam sensor low to high.

. I did mine during my install just to be safe since I was down there pinning the crank I figured it was the right time to do it. Also installed an LS2 timing chain as well. It sucks doing things twice.Good luck and I would guess its the bolts that have came loose.
