Oil Sensor Problem???
When I picked my car up from the dealer service shop today, it had a low oil level warning on the DIC. The service tech put about 1.5 quarts into it to bring it back up to level (free of charge). Driving home, I got the warning again. I let the car sit for a couple hours...checked the dipstick, and it seems to be showing well above the top mark. Which would you trust? The dipstick or the DIC? Suggestions? :confused:

Did they change the oil???On occassion,the low oil light can come on after changing the oil due to the sensor plunger sticking after the oil is drained.It can also come on from the change of engine temp due to draining and refilling the crankcase,even though it is filled to capacity.This will take a few drive cycles to reset.If it doesnt,a faulty low oil sensor should be suspected.On the other hand,the light can be displayed from simply being 1qt low...
