Default Maintenance - Heavy Driving

Well guys, I'm curious as to how often I should do maintenance if I drive the HELL out of my car. Sometimes, I notice my tranny gets REAL hot, I can feel it on my right thigh sometimes when I run at the track. Another thing too, I love to drive hard.

Should I change my Motor oil / Tranny oil / Diff Oil every 2 months?

How about plugs? Every 6 months ?

Thanks !

Do you drive from the rear hatch, because that is where the trans is?
The oil life monitor takes engine load and temperature into consideration. So you can use that for the oil.

Tough crowd tonight! The heat soak problem is very common and normal, there are DIY and pre-made kits that block the heat and some noise...

I don't think you're doing anything abnormal, but check your owner's manual for any routine maintenance changes due to heavy use... I think you're way over zealous with your fluid and plug change schedule!

Do you do alot of HPDEs or Track events or just occasional?

What kind of track days?
Drags or road course?
most of the road course Guys change Dif & trans after 1-3 sessions the same with the engine oil

How about plugs? Every 6 months ?
well Ichanged mine at 80,000 the gap was a little wide by then but no misses they were the original Denso Iridium plugs.
Brake pads as they wear out 1-10 track days depends on your pads and braking habits
rotors when they show haireline cracks on the face ask some one knowledgeable at the the track it's kind of hard to describe.

also check all the suspension bolts for correct torque before each event
hubs and wheels also each event!

be safe out there

If you are constantly buzzing the motor up high, then I would look into replacing the valve springs as well.

Just Drag, No track events. I think I might be over zealous with the plug changes, but the fluid changes I should go for.

I'm considering the valve spring upgrade. Someone recc. to me once before but I wasn't so sure. Which springs do you guys recc?

Thanks for the information
