Hey Guys. I have been through the mill with headlight problems starting with worn gears and culminating into fabricating metal peices to modify the motor covers (which wont reglue) that finally solved the gear problem. HOWEVER, when I reconnected the right side motor, it no longer spins - no power. It works fine when I connect it to the left-side connector. Testing the power connector on the right side, it is WAY low on voltage as compared to the left. I have checked the fuses - all fine.
I have read the sticky on "IMPORTANT ELECTRICAL INFORMATION (Long!)" and suspect that is is the ground plug connector just behind the headlight under the coolant tank. I am about to embark on the project now - so PLEASE let me know if you have any other ideas or suggestions. THANKS!!
Just a thought, change the fuses too. They are cheap and I've seen a high resistance fuse cause low voltage....
STW, Doc
Yeah, I swapped out the fuses and have cleaned the ground connectors on both sides of the engine compartment. No luck.
Looks like I will be bringing it to my mechanic on Wednesday as I am out of ideas. Possibly the power connector? I feel like I am just shooting in the dark at this point.
