Default Stock braided fuel lines

Has anybody cut the stock braided fuel lines in the engine bay and hooked AN fittings to them? If not, That could be done couldn't it? The in line is a tiny bit smaller then -6AN hose and the return line looks like maybe a -4AN line................Paul

There is an adaptor to go from the stock hardline at the firewall to a 6an line. I finally got mine from Summitt Racing.

The ID of the feed line is 6an. Don't cut the OEM hose, you have a few easier options.

#1, Russel makes a GM quick connect female to 6AN adapter that plugs onto the hard line near your firewall. You can run AN from there.

#2, use a compression to AN fitting on the hard line.

#3, Aeromotive makes a GM quick connect MALE to 10an adapter supposedly for LT1 Vettes. It's ugly because it takes what is a 6an ID line and converts it to 10an solely for the purpose of running one of Aeromotive's massive fuel pumps on older Vettes. You could use this piece to go on the end of your OEM fuel line and then convert the 10an down to a more reasonable size.

I did #3 and it looks like crap and I don't like where the fuel pressure regulator is because the lines are to long. They sent me a black fitting,I tried painting it blue and it got fuel on it and the paint came off so I ordered the adapter fittings to the hard lines from Jegs,They had them in stock.....Thanks guy's..................Paul
