TC and Active Handling Failure
Hey guys,
So I never normally drive the car in the rain - only have a couple of times. Anyway, last time I drove it in the rain my TC and AH went out. It said I needed to see service. The following day, it went back on...
Just the other day, I had to drive it home in the rain again. Sure enough, both went out. It's making me nervous as hell. Any thoughts?

This has happened to me when I hit a puddle in sunny weather. I believe it's the Throttle Actuator Control module, sits underneath the battery , errr actually i think it's behind the wheel well where you put mesh screens on the frent fender on passenger side. If it gets wet it'll throw up codes and put you in low power mode and tell you to service your active handling and traction control. Dunno why GM went cheap and didn't put the appropriate rubber insulation.
Might not be the same prob you have but sounds like it. The TAC module brand new is ~$350.
