i just bought a zo6 tb from a forum member under the impression that it is 78mm.. and some one else told me that is 75mm and that it is the same size as my stock 2000 tb.... does any one know for sure???
It's rather confusing to say the least--I think the C5 and Z06 t-body is the same---75mm--but the intake manifold size is 78mm--same on both as well---I was told this --no one seems to know for sure--but I measured the 2 and they were the same --unless they had been switched
everyone tells me something different,, could two people just agree and act like they know for sure,,, half say that they are both 75mm the other half say that they are both 78mm,,, could some one just sell me a flippin 80mm tb
The Z06/LS6 TB is identical to the C5/LS1 TB... the 3mm difference is likely the difference between the side facing the bridge and the side facing the intake manifold, but thats just a guess. Bottom line, both TB's are exactly the same.

Ported/Polished stock TB is about all you want to do with a relatively stock engine. It's not good for any HP as much as it will give you a better throttle response. An LS6 intake manifold will go a long way in the future though, even with heads/cam setups or FI later on. Right now with tuning, the LS6 intake would give you ~15 whp. No point in going with a bigger TB until you are running some big hp over stock.
