The **** is made by MBA products. I have one with a 6 speed pattern on it. It is "adjusted" to the proper position by using thin plastic shims. It take a number of tries to get it right. It is very easy to remove the ****. Be sure to chase the shaft threads with a die before putting the **** on.
I have one with the C-5 emblem. The post above is correct about how you get the **** lined up correctly. The **** has alot of threads and actually shortens the length of the shifter making for shorter throws. About an inch shorter than stock ****. :flag
Here is a pic of mine. I really like it. I had a billet one (from MBA) on my Z and T/A. They have never oxidized. I find that the **** cuts down on the vibration from the shifter and quiets the aftermarket shifters (this one is on a Ripper). It is very short.
I had one on my ZO6 and it looked really cool, although there is a lot more comfort with the leather B&M **** so I switched back, the Billet ball is a little large for me.
P.S if anyones interested I have the RKsport ball in new condition I'll sell for $50.00.... Email me if interested ... Craig
