Need your help guys. I'm trying to put my stock adjuster bolts back in for the front. It's just too low. Here is the problem I'm running into. I cannot get the ball joint to separate from the control arm/spindle. What do I try next?
If the bolts are complety removed, not just lowered, then you are going to have to take the leaf spring out. To do that you need to remove the lower a-arm.
Mr Big
Sorry if my question was unclear. I am trying to drop the lower control arm so that it swings out of the way. But i can't get it to separate from the spindle so that I can drop the lower a arm
Oh...i'm with you. You took the single nut off and now it is "stuck".
I have had that happend a few times. There is a point on that looks like a line down the side of spindle that goes over the bolt on the a-arm. It is on both sides of the spindle. That is a hammer point. Whack the crap out of it a few times with a hammer, don't worry, it won't break After that, put a pry bar in between the two points you are seperating and apply pressure, it will break loose.
