This afternoon, just as I pulled into my parking space at home, the "Check Engine" light came on. I checked the intake, and there doesn't appear to be any loose connections that would cause an air leak. The engine seems to be running just fine. Any ideas what could cause this???
Please don't take offense as that is not my intention. Did you pull the code(s) on the DIC??? That will tell you the source of the "check engine" light.

That was the next thing I was planning to do...can I post the codes here and get a "translation"?
I was wondering if someone might help me on this same topic..
id REALLY appreciate a translation on these codes i have..
10-PCM - P0410 HC <- this one i believe is the reason my check engine light is on.
and these are past codes i had.. im wondering if when i reset these if the 'H' goes away.. i would prefer not to keep a record of prior fixes in the computer..
here is what it sez:
A0-LDCM - B2282H, B2284H, V1064H
A1-RDCM - B2283H, B2285H, V1064H
B0-RFA - V1255H, V1096H, V1064H, V1016H
Thanks alot for any help on this! :seeya

You can't change a history code just by erasing it. It will correct itself after several cycles after the problem is fixed. Your getting intake codes, left and right door control panel codes, and faulty battery codes. I only have a trouble code list for a 99' which doesn't list any V-codes. I've had my batery, left and right cotrol panels and computer replaced before under warranty. There are several bulitins on these problems. Goodluck. :seeya
Well, I cleared the code, and the "Check Engine" light went out. It has stayed off so far. I still gotta get the passenger-side window fixed...it won't go down.
We get this now and then; usually it's vapor from the fuel cap (not fastened enough, or overfill). It goes away and have noticed any problems. I've maybe noticed this 4 or 5 times in 2 years.
