AIR tube header block off

Who makes a plate to block off the AIR tube on headers?

I welded mine shut in the past. I think you could just cut out a piece of aluminum, and drill two holes in it. If it is the same as my 97', I could make up a couple.

mine had ones made out of aluminum when i got it. peice o' 1/4 aluminum plate and a whiz-wheel and you should be able to build it in about 2-3 beers.

I have seen post the claim this will cause the tubes to break off and it is best to weld it shut. Anybody have info on this?
