Vararam + KB?

Vararam + KB?
Not sure if I should post this here or in FI but here goes...
I'm probably going to start modding within the week... getting started with the Dynatech Supermax setup and I'm also considering a Vararam since LAPD has it on special right now.
Thing is... I'm probably going to be slapping on a KB later in the year. Is the Vararam going work with the KB? I saw a guy that said he switched from Vararam to LPE when he added a maggie because the Vararam didn't work with it and I'd hate to just blow $300 for no reason.
