Default jack stand help

New owner and I'm looking for info and suggestions how to get my C5 up on four jackstands. Plan to get the Sears 3 1/2 " floor jack and four jacking pads for the frame. Is there a safe location to jack in the front and rear to elevate enough to get jackstands under the pads?

Thanks...

Hi, do a jacking puck search on this forum and there is a post or two where someone has listed the various places and ways to lift your car.

at the rear axle...put a two foot long 2x4" board on your jack, using the board to spread the car's weight on the aluminum cross member.

My floor jack is just about dead center behind the diff.

The only thing that worries me is the angle at one end when you go around to the other one. Looks like it could slip real easy off of the jackstands.

Go to a local hockey supply store get the $1 pucks, and get some large eye bolts at Lowe's. You'll have jacking pucks built for $10. And for working on the car -on 4 jackstands, using the pucks provides better accessibility under the car.
