From what I understand, Patriot uses new GM castings (like 5.3 and 6.0 truck heads, as well as LS6 heads) and CNC ports them, mostly oriented towards streetable engines. Their typical flow numbers (around 300 cfm intake, 210 cfm exhaust, "give or take" depending on what Stage you select) are right in line with many other ported LS head offerings, and a few of the milder aftermarket heads.
I believe they use their own spring kits, but use GM or aftermarket valves, depending on Stage option selected.
As for price, they are quite reasonable for 'new' heads. In many cases, for a similar application/desired power, they are only $100 or $200 more than having your 'old' heads ported.
TSP (Texas Speed--along the vendor scroll on this forum) sells a set for around $1,000, that are typically good for an approximately 50 HP gain (depending on your cam or add'l mods).
If looking for a budget minded head for your 5.7/346, and staying under 500 RWHP (N/A), then Patriots are definitely worth looking at.

Patriot has a new line coming out or just out. They are the predator line. These are there own castings from my understanding. They will compete with heads such as AFR/Dart/etc... They are gonna be offered in multiple sizes 205/225 runners. Also will be availble with an optional 72cc combustion chamber along with standard chamber. I am not sure if the will have the raised deck like the competitors. I think they will start around 1700 not sure though!!!!!!

I have a set of Patriots 243 casting, milled to 62 cc chambers waiting to be installed as soon as my Cadillac Racing Lifters get in.
These heads and my already installed Comp Cam 224/224 with LT headers, LS6 intake, UD Pulley should put me at 400RWHP with N/A.
I hear nothing but great things about Patriots and their service department.
Go for it.

Actually these are the heads I am looking at. They are doing an install for GM High Tech and once the dyno results come in I will decide. From what they told me I think its going to be "THE" set up. Very similar to the AFR and possibly out flow....we will see. I'm looking at the 205 runner and I can't remember the specs on the cam but very good for low and mid range power. Total set up was around 2300. Not to bad considering.....thanks for the input guys!!!

PS more info is always welcomed....I check the forum regularly

Its hard to give you more info on something that has not really been out. However I feel patriots products are very nice for the price. From talking with gunnar in the past seems like a real stand up person. I think your gonna love the product. Good luck make sure you post your numbers on these heads as I am also very curious.

Default Heres some Patriots for you!

Well, I have used Patriot heads for a bit, recommended them to my friends, but the real kicker was the damage done to my new 415 motor. I've been racing my GTO for awhile now, and it had the stock LS2 worked to 477 RWHP. Anyways long story short blew that motor, put together a new forged 415 6.2 Escalade block stroked out to 6.8L, paid for an EXTENSIVE tune. Took it to the track after having 800 miles on it, only to have the valve break off the stem, and completely destroy the head, the piston, and block. Motor of course was seized. I'm not complaining about them, but I did talk to Gunner, and maybe the valve company ferrea or whatever will get them replaced. Wont be holding my breath but atleast gunner was cool about it. Of course he related the old statement anything can happen in Drag Racing. Just sucks when I pay a lot of money to get something done, and I cant even enjoy it. On the lighter side I decided to buy My C5 so I wouldn't be here without my GTO's motor blown. Pics soon, enjoy.

For the most part I've heard good things about Gunner and everyone here. However, there have been a few bad ones, but that is anywhere I think. I really want the H/C, since I've always done simple bolt ons. I just hope something like the above doesn't happen. I will be going to walker's dyno tune here in the next few weeks to get a base line number and then compare it to the numbers they get with the H/C and get back to you all. Gunner said he is predicting about 437 rwhp with the H/C and simple bolt ons with the f-body they are trying it on. I'm figuring that at least with my set up. Thanks for everything guys.

PS sorry to hear about you motor Flash
