Default Sticky clutch pedel! Help!!!

ok so when i get on it my clutch pedel is not coming all the way back up.. sometimes when i let off of it it hardley comes up at all... as far as i can tell the clutch isnt slipping.. and the clutch is fairly new.. so i checked my fluid and its nasty.. so i drained the resivor and couldnt seem to get the hose off of the master cylinder to drain it,, now im wondering if i need to change out my slave cylinder and drain the entire system, and put fresh fluid in all of it.. or should i just drain the system and go with new fluid.. has any one had this happen to them .. what did you do?

I had the same problem, My Hydraulics went south. Since I dont have the money to replace that and the clutch, I did a easy fix for now. I took out the spring behind the clutch pedal, the pedal doesnt stick anymore and always comes back up.

Im not real sure either, I know of a few people that have actually drilled into the slave for this reason. Hopefully someone wil chime in with better answers for you.

Many others have had this problem. Sometimes flushing all the fluid works, where sometimes a new slave cylinder is needed. Some others have have even taken it to the stage of modifying the clutch pedal to keep it from going all the way down and sticking. Do a search on the forum and you will find details of how to do each solution.

I replaced the slave with the upgraded Z06 and did the drill mod. I had the same issues and this fixed mine. Also if you go this route do the remote bleeder for the slave from LAPD. It is well worth the money

Now would be an opportune time to go to a Z06 clutch be fore something gets broke. I speak from experience.

I sujest replacing the master and the slave at the same time. Don't replace one without the other, if you do the new master or slaves seals will be able to hold more presure than the other old part and could couse it to fail.

If your clutch is new and you don't have a high HP car then it's probably your slave. You can get both the master and slave for around $200.

There are a few posts here on the CF that tell you how. But if your that far into the rebuild I would get a remote bleeder from LAPD.
