Last summer my battery didn't seem to keep it's charge,, so I bought a Red Top. That seemed to work great for a while. then it started losing power again. I would have to charge every few days. I put the car away for storage last fall and brought back the Red Top.. This spring I went out and got another brand of battery. It was great for the past 2 weeks. Today it died on me again..
I have no idea as to what could possibly drain the battery. Any of you have any ideas ?? Could it be the alternator ? I have not driven the car yet this year, only took it out of storage today.. What a start ..............:
Autozone and Advanced Autoparts can check your alternator for free. I would have them check battery and alternator and go from there. If both those are fine you will have to find what is draining the battery down. You could check by pulling a fuse and see what the battery reads after each one.
Just fixed the same problem...I changed my alternator b/c the guy at advance said it was bad and come to find out it wasnt the problem. take a look at this thread it helped me out. come to find out my pass. side seat switch was stuck in the on position. very common problem.

Also check all your electrical main connections. At the battery, at the starter (this one can come loose, arc and cause high resistance), at the alternator, etc. Use a multi-meter to check the resistance between those points. You could have some bad wiring.
