Default LSD problems...

So I went to the track today, and when I did my burn out I was only spinning my right rear tire... then continued to launch and do my run. But I had terrible 60' times and could not get that thing to hook but only my right wheel was putting down power. So I'm thinking my LSD is not functioning properly, I just swapped fluids in the rear earlier this week and was wondering if that has anything to do with it. I put in AMSOil sever gear 75w-90, and I know that you need to put in a additive for the LSD to work properly but was under the impression that the AMSOil already had it in... Is that not true? Any advise would be great, I would like to get this figured out and run some good times at the track next time I go

It may help to know a little more. Do you have a line lock? Are you running TC/AH on/an, off/on or off/off

Change you diff fluid to Royal Purple or something else, it HAS the additive, not sure if the stuff you have does or not but I always spin both wheels with R.P, but most likely its because you changed the fluid

... Just figured out the problem, and yes you are right and my initial thoughts were right also. Turns out the lube I bought from amsoil does not have the additive in it when I thought it did... Because i JUST swapped it, does anybody know if i can just buy 4oz of the additive and put it in with the amsoil? and what is the additive any ways?

This will work.

However, you can get the same thing at most any auto parts store.

Amsoil has the additive you need in 4oz bottles. I think it's called sure lock. I have a couple bottles in the shop if you cann't find it anywhere. I' think it run's around $6 a bottle.

Don't drain your Sever Gear oil out just add the aditive from Amsoil.

If the new additive doesn't work, try turning both off. I was getting better 60' times with both off.
