What's Involved with replacing clutch MC in C5?

Having clutch issues but have decided to try the simple solutions 1st. What is involved in doing an R&R on clutch master cylinder?

Disconnect the rod from the pedal, disconnect the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder, remove the fluid reservoir, twist the MC 45 degrees and pull it out

Is bleeding necessary? Seems like it would be!

Yes if you replace the MC youll need to bleed it. Replacing it shouldnt take your more than half an hour

Have you tried just changing the fluid in the reservoir several times first? It's a good thing to do on a regular basis anyway.

it has a dry-break, so changing it shouldn't necessarily require bleeding. Of course, you have to have a special tool to break the dry-break fitting!
