I have a set of stock C5 calipers I took off of my '02 coupe in 2005 (see http://rides.webshots.com/album/558305557qVgCMk for pics).

I also have a set of stock C5Z06 calipers removed towards the end of this winter (Jan '07).

As seen in the pics for the stock coupe calipers, the dust boots are somewhat torn up. Same thing goes for the Z06 calipers.

Is there any sense in rebuilding these for future use? Would they be of use to anyone in their current condition (i.e., used; dust boot tearing)?

Thanks in advance for the comments.

Chris, Yes they can still be used, a rebuild kit is cheap.
then You have a spare.
The only reason the might not be good would be if they are sprung from heavy track use spread from the bottom to the top so that the pads were not parallel.

rebuild kits are fairly cheap. They are still worth to hang on to or sell.

Anyone know what a ballpark figure is for needing to rebuild your calipers with a kit? These are not from a track or strip car.

Last time I did a rebuild a couple of years ago the GM kit from the dealer cost me $19 (club discount).
