My driver sport bucket seat isn't working. It will not go back and forth. It does however go up and down, the lumbar support works, the side supports work. Here is what I have tried up to now.
1. changed the motor
2. changed the computer control module
3. changed the switch
4. disconnected the motor from the railings and tested it.
Luckily I have a spare seat for parts, but I am stubborn and want my sport bucket back in. Any suggestions from here? Is there a relay or something I am missing?
Test the seat out of the car so you can see exactly whats going on.Does the motor run? Is the shaft turning or did it fall out? Use 12v battery charger to run the motor. If it does not go back and forward the corkscrews could be binding. If one turned more than the other there will be bind. Also gease up the corkscrews, this helped mine move faster. I also found that you should not tighten the corkscrew blocks that they ride in, tight to the track. If you can get the seat to go back and forth with the battery charger by powering the motor, it is not the seat itself but the switch, controller, wire harness.
