Hi all :) ,
I posted this question once before and got a few reposnses (thanks guys/gals;) ), but they did not solve the problem :(. I currently have a metal clanking or ringing sound coming from behind the radio/ ac unit and over to behind the passenger airbag. I also brought it into the dealer for the last three weekends straight :mad :mad :mad :mad and they have removed the entire dash board and claimed they fixed it :rolleyes:by checking for loose components and replacing some loose brackets. It is driving me crazy and I hope I do not get reemed :jester for this but I can't stand the chevy service compared to the ford service I recieved from the same dealership :boxing :boxing. I used to have a mustang and didn't have any major problems and when I did, the problem was fixed properly the first time. Can someone please help me with the metal ringing problem I am having. Recently I have been toying with the idea of going back to a specialty mustang (saleen, roush, steeda etc) so I can keep some of the performace of my vette. Thanks in advance for your help and I hope to remain a proud vette owner
This will sound silly but check it out.
I had the sound you describe from the center to right side of dash.
Everyone was very sure of the location.
My wife finally found it coming from the rear view mirror :D
Good luck man...
I have 2 C5's & haven't heard this...try another Dealer! Please don't give up yet, possibly Dealer is the problem..seem to be a lot of Dealer complaints...more than car complaints!...good luck! :flag
Thanks guys, I will try a new dealer as you suggested.

I will check the rear window and was wondering if you happen to remember where in the rear window the sound was coming from and how you were able to fix this problem. Thanks again.
thanks again, I just relayed your response to another member because they were having a similar problem so hopefully your response will help both of us.
