... on putting a Meziere electric water pump on. It would be strictly for street use. Going more for a clean look on the front of the LS1 then anything else. Am concerned about durability. Any idea how long one lasts under normal dirving. Thanks
not worth the time or money for only 5 hp, i'd hate to here it put you down 1 day because it stopped working. ( at night in a heavy rain is always the case), do a sreach and find out more about them.
Not on the vette, but my 68 pontiac catalina (electric pump that i installed) left me on the side of the road once because the fuse blew. all of a sudden the temp' guage few up i pull over as fast as i could, but it was to late. the inceasing heat added enough pressure to blow the radiator hose off the intake.
Green blood everywhere due to a damn $1.50 fuse. $125.00 towing, 21 miles, priceless.
and yes it still works to this day, but always on my mind.

why do you say only 5hp? Do you have any evidence to show that it frees up 5hp? The meziere marketing literature says 11hp, but it doesnt say at what rpm, so I obviously dont believe them.
