Put an X-Pipe on,it'll balance out the exhaust and cut down on the burble on deceleration.Take the H-pipe and sell it on the parts section.jerry

You don't have to get one, but it's highly recommended. Will help with exhaust flow and sounds better.

Any c5/c6 exhaust will sound better with an x pipe. Much less popping and smooths out the flow. IMO I would not install any aftermarket cat back without an x pipe.

IMO if you are going to get a set of LT headers in the future, you should wait. Most LT header systems out come with the x-pipe.

You dont NEED it by anymeans....It will decrease the popping sound at deceleration but I like that sound !! Sean at LG said I only lost a couple horses by not having one.

I agree, the X pipe was one fo the first mods I did and as the other posters say, it does make the exhaust sound much smoother and no motor boat sounds.

I purchased my 98 with a Corsa exhaust without the x pipe and the only difference there will be is the sound. I like that sound, makes people move out of my way. I was thinking of getting the x pipe, but for 200 and I wont notice a difference in performance...? For 130 I could get the throttle ported or for 100 more I could get an LS6 intake. So my question is will I notice any difference in performance if I get the x pipe?
