Think he meant if tires spin, then lower psi.
2psi at a time is good, I wouldn't recommend going lower than 12. Keep a close eye on it if it starts cooling down as the night goes on.
If those are new drag radials, you need to set-up the tread compound before you do a full days/nights racing, take them out warm them up, do a couple of light burn outs, and let them sit over night.
remember when you do a burn out on DRs to roll out of it, sudden stops do bad things to drivetrain parts.
