low temp switch

Is it true that some vettes in the early 90's had a low temp fan switch screwed into the intake (3/8 -18 npt). If so can anyone tell me what the on and off temp is. Does anyone have a part number gm or aftremarket? thank you for any help.

Thank you very much, that will get me started. I will search for a cross reference to blue streak or neihoff or something around here.
