Default 1100x PIAA replace install question

I just installed 1100x PIAA fog lights, in place of the stock fog lights. Cut the harness off the supplied cable, so I was left with one black and one white wire.

I wired direct to the battery, then grounded the black wire from above and connected the white wire from above to the purple wire at the stock fog lamp switch. The fog lights only work at low beam or parking lights on - high beams they go out.

Does anybody know where I should connect the wires, so I can run the 1100X PIAA independently from low or high or parking lights? Do I have to use the supplied switch and by pass the stock switch altogether?

TIA, Robi

they are working as they would work from the factory.

if you want them on with the high beams, (why?) you will need to bypass the stock switch and use the PIAA one.

I appreciate the feedback, but what I am looking for is to wire it different than stock. I want to able to turn the fog lights on and off, without having to turn on parking lights and be able to use the fog lights with high beams on.

I believe I need to supply +12v from accessory circuit to the existing fog switch, and then the purple wire should supply that voltage to the relay by pressing the fog lamp switch on and off.

I hope there is a +12v accessory wire nearby the fog lamp switch, and I need to find out which pin on the fog lamp switch I should connect this to.

Any help would be appreciated.
TIA, Robi

Here is the link mentioned in above post. This is what you need. My brother and I used these instructions to install my PIAA lights this past week. They work great.

just wire it according to the instructions that it came with to get the effect you're looking for.

i installed a set on my trailblazer that works this way.
