Just installed some Cold Air Screens from West Coast Corvette - should give my Halltech Stinger some fresher air to breathe. Took about 1 1/2 hours to install.
I'm thinking Vararam should incorporate this into their intake, so you don't have to use ZO6 screens - I think I like the look of this better than the ZO6 screens - heck, before I install my Vararam, I MIGHT see if these could be swapped / rivited in place of the equivalent piece that comes standard on the Vararam intake - looks nice
question though - it appears that these have an opening for the driving light, but it also appears that you have that hole (driving light) blocked off after you installed these on your car - please explain??
94legal - These have an opening for the fog light, and I used the same cover that came with the stock housings to block off the hole in these grilled ones. I have a 1SA so my car did not come with fog lights, and IMO I don't like C5's with the extra lights.

Get this, after I buy them, I take a look, and it's simply the same GM piece with a grill glued to the back. If someone else was to want to do this mod, I'd suggest they just dremmel into their existing housings.
All in all, I think it's a great easy cold air mod that will help my Halltech Stinger.

You are saying just take a dremel tool and punch holes in the stock pieces, correct?
I'm saying I REALLY like the looks of the black mesh - functional to keep debris out of the intake, but yet subtle and not standing out the way the ZO6 screens appear to stand out (to me anyway) - I've gotta find some black mesh on the internet to add this to my Vararam - OR, I'm gonna figure out some way to put small "expanded metal" screens (painted black, of course) into my Vararam openings - you've got me thinkin' - thanks!

That's my suggestion, save the $80 for gas money.
However in the process I learned a lot about how my front end bolts together and now I have the stock pieces for those 1 or 2 rainy days SoCal has
