After having my car for a month, I understand why all of you install the CAGS bypass. How diffucult of an install is it? Reccommended vendor? I know the topic has been discussed at lenght, but I could not find some threads on it. Can someone help? I looked in the tech tips section, but nothing there.
I installed mine last week and once you have the rear of the car jacked up it takes about 2 minutes to install and secure. I picked mine up from CAU in Bloomington this past summer anticipating the need. Go to the tech tips section for instructions.
The bypass is very easy to install. Raise the back of the car. Just the driver's side will do. The connector is fairly easy to spot. It plugs into the transmission. Unplug the stock module. Plug in the bypass module and cover. Zip-tie the wires. The instructions with the bypass are decent. There are a few bypasses for sale in the "C5 Parts for Sale" section. I believe they are all the same.
